World Trade Center- 9/11 Memorial Help

Wilson-Covington staff were fortunate to help unload a piece of steel salvaged from the twin towers of the World Trade Center following the terrorists attack of September 11, 2001. This steel will be used in a future memorial at the Cornelius, NC Fire Rescue Station #1. Thank you to the team that is making this happen to insure 9/11 will never be forgotten.

West Salem House Restoration Complete

Wilson-Covington has completed the full restoration of this 1905 home in West Salem, Winston-Salem, NC. Work included major framing repair and replacement due to water damage, replacement of siding (the original was over 60% damaged due to installation of later vinyl siding and water damage), foundation repairs, new roof, all new systems, and all new interior finishes.

The original bead board ceilings were saved, as was much of the framing and all of the wood plaster lathe. The windows had previously been replaced, so new metal-clad with wood interior 3 over 1 sash were installed. Character ash and marble mosaic tile floors were installed.
