Wilson-Covington Construction Company: Since 1947
Wilson-Covington Construction Company, incorporated in 1947, was the outgrowth of a long association between Jack Covington, Burke Wilson, and Reuben Wilson. The company was originally formed to develop and construct multifamily apartment complexes, the first of these being Ardmore Terrace and Cloverdale Apartments in the late 1940s. Construction projects have included all types of commercial and residential construction.
Under the leadership of Clay V. Ring, the company entered the 21st Century in good stead. Ring, who took over the company in 1995, was recognized as a top-notch builder and “true gentleman” in the construction industry and the community.
Wilson-Covington is now a premier General Contractor licensed in the Carolinas and Virginia. Thanks to the entrance of Hayes Wauford, Clay’s grandson, in 2005, and the addition of all-star team members with a wide variety of experience, Wilson-Covington continues its commitment to quality and value in both the commercial and residential construction arenas. As a Licensed Unlimited General Contractor, no project is too large. Yet Wilson-Covington also maintains its commitment to providing the same level of quality and professionalism, regardless of the size of a project.
